Stop the Delta Tunnels in Contra Costa County

The Delta Tunnels will run through Eastern Contra Costa County which will negatively affect farmers, marinas, and local businesses. In the six years this project has been in the planning stages, the estimated cost has gone from under $15 billion dollars to nearly $25 billion. This does not include long term financing costs, which will put the whole thing over $50 billion. It’s an unnecessary project similar to the High Speed Rail. The Delta Tunnels project was rejected by Californian voters in 1982.

The CoCoTax urges Contra Costa residents to write letters to Governor Brown about opposing the unnecessary project.

Letters should be addressed to:

Governor Jerry Brown

C/o State Capitol, Suite 1173

Sacramento, CA 95814

Salutation should read: The Honorable Edmund G Brown
