Auditor-Controller Robert Campbell
Robert Campbell has over 30 years of employment with Contra Costa County in the Office of the Auditor-Controller. In June 2010, he was elected Auditor-Controller by the voters and then re-elected in June 2014 to serve another four-year term. Robert carries out his duties as an elected official with integrity and commitment to excellence for the citizens of Contra Costa County.
Robert received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the California State University, Hayward.
Robert’s passion for the statutes and legal codes that govern public sector financial accounting and reporting enabled him to serve on numerous committees for the State Association of Auditor Controllers. Robert is recognized as a leader and expert in the field of public sector finance and received an appointment by the State Controller as the County Auditors’ Association representative to the California Uniform Construction Cost Accounting Commission in 2011, and an appointment by the State Treasurer as a member of the State Task Force on Bond Accountability in 2015. Mr. Campbell also is a member of the Government Finance Officers' Association and the Association of Government Accountants.
Robert embraces his role as a husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend with unfaltering devotion, love, and loyalty.
