Jen Faught has spent the last 13 years working in local government, first, for 11 years as an attorney at a law firm representing various local government clients, and for the past two years as a contract compliance specialist at RecycleSmart, a waste management JPA. The JPA member agencies include the Towns of Danville and Moraga, the Cities of Lafayette, Orinda, and Walnut Creek, and some unincorporated Contra Costa County. RecycleSmart’s jurisdiction represents 200,000 people and it has a board of 12 elected officials. In her current position at RecycleSmart she oversees the recycling, reuse, and waste contracts and staffs the legislative committee.
