The City Manager Dan Buckshi is responsible for carrying out City Council policies and directing activities of Walnut Creek city departments and services. 

The City is exploring asking voters to consider a ten-year, 1/2 cent sales tax increase (ballot measure) in November 2022.  The process currently is focusing on public outreach, engagement and listening.   The City Council must take official action via resolution to place the measure on the ballot by July 2022 as the deadline to place  a measure on the ballot is August 12, 2022.  If approved by more than 50% of the voters, Hear what it could pay for.
